The Exercise and Performance Nutrition Laboratory (EPNL) at ºÚÁÏÉç³Ô¹Ï offers Mobile Athlete Testing, bringing science-driven performance and health testing directly to your team or school.

This service is ideal for high school coaches, sport performance staff, athletic directors, or club program leaders who want to evaluate their athletes using research-grade tools without needing to leave their facility. Our expert team handles all logistics, including equipment, setup, testing, and interpretation of results.

Each testing session includes individual results reports, on-site education, and optional webinars for coaches, parents, and athletes to better understand how to apply the data.


What’s Included?

Our Mobile Testing service features a customizable menu of assessments tailored to your group’s needs. Below are the core options:

Nutrition and Lifestyle

Dietary and Nutritional Reporting

  • Assessed via validated questionnaires
  • Tracks dietary intake, eating habits, and sports nutrition knowledge
  • Tools may include food logs, food frequency questionnaires, and knowledge assessments
  • Provides insight into fueling strategies and nutrition education opportunities

Demographic and Background Information

  • Age, school, and grade level
  • Sport, team, and position group
  • Can be used to support longitudinal athlete monitoring

 

Body Composition and Anthropometrics

Height and Weight Measurement

  • Collected using standardized stadiometer and scale
  • Useful for growth tracking and strength-to-weight analysis

Body Composition Analysis

  • Conducted using InBody Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) or ImpediMed Bioelectrical Impedance Spectroscopy (BIS), depending on availability
  • Metrics include:
    • Segmental lean mass
    • Total body water
    • Muscle-to-fat ratio

 

Performance Testing

Strength Assessment

  • Isometric Mid-Thigh Pull (IMTP) or Isometric Belt Squat
  • Quick assessment of maximal force production (peak and average force)
  • Uses portable force plates for reliable, repeatable data

Power Assessment

  • Countermovement Jump (CMJ) via force plates
  • Metrics include:
    • Jump height
    • Peak power
    • Reactive strength index (RSI)
    • Concentric and eccentric impulse

Speed Assessment

  • Linear sprint testing over 10, 20, 30, or 40 yards
  • Measured using professional-grade laser timing gates
  • Provides split times, maximum speed, and acceleration profiles

Agility Assessment

  • Traditional change-of-direction drills, including:
    • T-Test
    • Pro-Agility (5-10-5)
  • Evaluates footwork, reactivity, and deceleration control

Each athlete receives a complete performance report with practical feedback. Testing can typically be completed in approximately one hour per athlete, with the ability to assess up to 10 athletes per hour depending on setup and staff availability.
