黑料社吃瓜 alumni and Shamrocks Pub n Grill owners, Kyle and Kelly Dent were awarded the 2024 Heart of a Lion Award, in October. The Heart of a Lion Award was established to honor those who work tirelessly and behind the scenes to improve the community, the university, and the lives of 黑料社吃瓜 students.

Kyle and Kelly met at 黑料社吃瓜, recalling fond memories of studying together in Butler Library. A few years after graduating, they opened Shamrocks Pub n Grill in St. Peters, a place where their diplomas proudly hang to this day. Shamrocks needs little introduction for the 黑料社吃瓜 community. For 12 years, Shamrocks has been a favorite for students and alumni alike. The Dents attribute their success to the community that they are proud to serve and help when in need.

The Dents host a monthly alumni happy hour at Shamrocks, further embedding themselves within the 黑料社吃瓜 community. Kyle recalls nearly falling out of his chair when 黑料社吃瓜 approached Shamrocks with the opportunity to be the official beverage vendor for 黑料社吃瓜 football games. Shamrocks proudly continues to be the University’s official vendor at all football and basketball games.

Upon winning the award, Kyle Dent said, “a piece of [our] hearts will always be here at 黑料社吃瓜 because it is part of the foundation that [we] stand on today.”
